Marketing Director

Job Description:

The Marketing Director will be responsible for marketing BORN as an agency to new clients . This person will be responsible for developing and executing on BORN’s go to market strategies to secure new clients, overseeing and growing all marketing channels, including but not limited to; inbound, outbound, events and partners to generate more leads. They will manage the overall marketing budget, and track and report to executive leadership how the firm’s GTM strategies deliver ROI. They will successfully increase lead gen and influenced revenue year over year The Marketing & Alliances Director manages and maintains our commercial and strategic interests across our entire partner ecosystem. They also help to acquire and grow the BORN partner relationships, with responsibilities ranging from partner admin to contract maintenance to leading partner marketing efforts, while codifying Alliances Management as a chartered practice. The ideal candidate is pathologically organized, high energy, personality plus, and will have the ability to work in a dynamic, timeline driven environment, successfully collaborating with various vendors.  

Skills and responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the BORN Go to Market Strategy across BORN’s commerce and content offerings.
  • Responsible to implement and maintain business plans with our Tier 1 partners
  • Plan and execute marketing events, both large and intimate
  • Assists in entertaining clients and partners, and does so with a smile
  • Author and oversee the production of key marketing collateral, such as white papers, blog posts, webinar materials, keynote speeches and social media assets
  • Developing the marketing strategy and activation plan for key communications to prospects, partners, and clients.
  • Overseeing implementation of the Marketing strategy and Calendar - including campaigns, events, digital marketing (email, social, webinars) and PR
  • Working closely with the company’s Sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations
  • Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Executive Management team and Practice leads.
  • Optimizing BORN’s measurable MQL to SQL process within BORN tools (Hubspot CRM)
  • Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment, the ecommerce + content landscape, and relevant consumer trends
  • Implement, Manage and Refine a Marketing Calendar and MQL Measurement framework against Quarterly activity targets
  • Proactively identify opportunities for new partnerships and potential improvements to current partnerships
  • Ability to design, execute, and report on ROI for partner marketing efforts
  • Strong project management abilities; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
  • Evaluate the benefits of potential campaigns and/or deals and manage the process of building both internal and external consensus
  • Develops and maintain our eCommerce 101 assets
Qualifications
  • Excellent leadership and organizing skills
  • Analytical and creative thinking
  • Exquisite communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing skills and functional understanding of PR, social content creation – candidates should expect to submit a writing sample and a presentation sample (PPT or keynote)
  • Ability to be adept at handling politics at the C-level
  • Expertise in current and online marketing techniques and best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords
  • Minimum 2 years experience in digital marketing
  • Minimum 2 years experience with event planning
  • Preferred 1 year experience in Professional Services
  • Existing familiarity with the eCommerce vendor landscape a plus
  • Experience driving marketing campaigns with a proven focus on ROI
  • Exceptional leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and relationship management abilities to get things done across a large, complex organizations
  • Ability to manage priorities across cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and Hybris a plus
  • Ability to work with multinational teams, understand and respect cultural diversity and develop messages that help achieve objectives with diverse audiences. This role is two-fold:
