BackgroundChubb is a global provider of insurance products covering property & casualty, accident & health, reinsurance, and life insurance. Operating in 54 countries and territories and in Lloyd’s insurance market in London, Chubb is the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer.
BriefChubb sought a self-service customer portal that would enhance their clients’ experience and improve the Client-Broker relationship. The portal needed to be engaging and useful enough to reduce the need for contacting a broker while also conveying the value of Chubb’s services.
GoalsConvert single policy customers to multi policyholders, improve communication, and position Chubb as a ‘reassuringly complete’ insurer through an engaging and useful self-service portal.
Many customers find insurance dull and prefer to delegate as much as possible to their broker. They tend to default to the ease of calling their broker rather than self-serving online. The new portal needed to be compelling enough to change this behavior and continually draw clients online.
