BORN was selected to work with Argos on a new and innovative communications campaign. As a traditional catalogue retailer, they decided to engage consumers with more editorialised content.
BORN worked with Argos’ publications teams to create a new strategic brand approach for its inspirational magazine content to be featured on their iPad app.
The content team at BORN hosted a workshop with all Argos’ internal stakeholders to develop new ideas and to audit the existing content. We then worked on developing new brand guidelines for their digital magazines. This work formed the basis for BORN’s delivery of a content strategy plan for how Argos could use and execute on-going, seasonal digital magazines to drive engagement and sales. After the brand guidelines were created, we designed the first magazine – an annual Health and Fitness issue that launched in January 2014. Further editions that we have delivered include: Young Families, Summer Holidays and Kids Clothing. We have also worked with Argos to set up an Argos Magazine store in Apple Newsstand to ensure that this inspirational content is delivered to a wider consumer base.
