Modell's Sporting Goods

In an industry increasingly dominated by monopolizing brands, family-owned retailer Modell’s Sporting Goods sought a way to cut through the noise and capture new audiences.

Modell’s picked BORN to help it re-envision and expand its omnichannel approach and replatform their old system with the power of Salesforce Commerce Cloud. BORN saw this restructuring as part of a greater creative process to better align Modell’s online presence with their mission to provide effortless access to an incredible variety of sportswear.

Uniting Modell’s internal employee site with its customer facing site allowed them to solve major logistical issues in tracking discounts, managing inventory and fraud prevention. BORN’s overhaul of Modell’s employee facing loyalty program enabled employees to successfully leverage their discounts and feel more like valued community members, while its strategy for their consumer facing loyalty program dramatically increased engagement and repeat buyers.

These improvements, along with the expansion of the site’s new BOPIS (buy online, pick-up in store) capabilities, resulted in a beautifully re-designed, easy-to-navigate site that more readily serves Modell’s current employee and customer base while also attracting new shoppers.
