Background

Unilever, the Anglo-Dutch consumer goods company, has been operational in the Latin American market for more than 85 years. It has a strong route to market in Argentina, however, their large network of distributors and retailers had largely relied on traditional offline channels to conduct their business.

Brief

Unilever sought a feature-rich B2B eCommerce platform to help small and large retailers across Argentina manage their distributor orders more efficiently online.

Goals

Increase coverage of stores being serviced by distributors. Add new stores to their client portfolio. Increase frequency of orders and reduce operational costs. Create more flexibility to offer advanced promotions as business needs evolved.
Merging online and offline

Our solution focused on bringing the distributor-retailer relationship online.

The traditional business model was transformed into a seamless B2B digital experience–from registration to distributor-specific catalogs, pricing, and order fulfillment.

Strategy & Insight

BORN conducted a technical and creative discovery with the business teams of Unilever Argentina to define key priorities and user personas, which underpinned the intuitive site design.

Powered by Adobe Commerce Cloud

The solution was built on Adobe Commerce Cloud B2B Enterprise Cloud 2.3.1 and included a Land of Coder extension to support multi-distributor catalogs. Order fulfillment is powered by 3P integrations with each Distributor’s ERP.

After Launch Support

BORN ensured the online distributor-retailer relationship continued to strengthen with ongoing support, including website monitoring, solution support and maintenance, and incident management.

The Challenge

Tetley’s previous solution was unable to deliver on their customers’ demands due to poor user experience, less than desirable photography, and lack of mobile responsiveness.

Challenge

Having two brands live together on one site meant all brand communication, product presentation, and collaboration documentation had to be carefully considered. DIESEL needed a comprehensive design system that would support the architecture and product database.

Results

BORN successfully implemented SAP Hybris for this client and is considered to be a landmark case study in B2B2C.

Creating Business Value

BORN designed a complete omnichannel solution for HSS Hire, Rentals, Training, and Sales businesses. It stands as one of the most advanced sites on Hybris, worldwide.

With the vast assortment of jeans, clothing, shoes, and accessories, DIESEL.com had to leverage mobile-first design in order to deliver campaign content and product offers to a large number of users on a global scale.

Improving Engagement

Campaign images and content creation often become an afterthought when a brand implements a new commerce platform. In DIESEL’s case, their distinct tone of voice and powerful campaign imagery were amplified throughout the commerce funnel in order to actively re-engage the brand’s audience.

Increasing Sales

The new digital flagship successfully merged DIESEL’s dynamic image and video creation with their product offer. Improved filtering methods provided clarity to their vast denim and jeans assortment, leading to an increase in sales.

Acquiring New Customers

DIESEL’s content creation calendar also found a harmonic new context within their revamped digital flagship, exciting and engaging an expansive base of users and fans across the globe.
