BackgroundSotheby’s has been uniting collectors with world-class works of art since 1744. Today, Sotheby’s has a global network of 80 offices in 40 countries and presents auctions in 10 different salerooms, including New York, London, Hong Kong and Paris.
BriefImplement a globally aligned Management program to streamline content photography and image production across North America, Europe, and Asia. Deliver multiple strategic projects with consideration of numerous business capabilities, including performance, creative, production, technology, resourcing, administration, risk mitigation, operations, strategy, and financial reductions.
GoalsImprove the supply chain to deliver content to the web and aid in the migration from paper-only catalogs to digital content sales. Standardize processes, workflows, and technology and improve remote collaboration, and working; through a series of change management initiatives. Improve the quality and consistency of production whilst reducing correction cycles. Achieve faster speed-to-market by reducing production cycle times and utilizing a globally balanced team.
As the newly awarded vendor, BORN had to rapidly build trust from a variety of global stakeholders whilst delivering immediate content needs and its proposed long-term digital-first roadmap.
