Tetley was launched in Yorkshire, UK more than 180 years ago, when brothers Josep and Edward Tetley started the business. The brand began its journey from the UK and has since experienced immense growth and success across the globe.


Tata Global Beverages Limited sought a design and technology partner to build a unified website platform for its global tea brand, Tetley.


Build a digital solution that spans 17 countries in 15 languages. Enable Tata Global Beverages to manage a portfolio of regional and global websites in order to drive brand engagement, education, and eCommerce.

The Challenge

Tetley’s previous solution was unable to deliver on their customers’ demands due to poor user experience, less than desirable photography, and lack of mobile responsiveness.
A New, Content-Rich Approach

Our approach focused on integrating highly engaging content that kept customers on the site longer, including recipes and editorial content.

Improved Product Treatment

We put considerable attention on shadows for both packaging and primary ingredients in order to “ground” and “glue” each element, creating a cohesive and engaging product representation across each Product Detail Page (PDP).

On-Brand Content

Customer education was important to Tetley, so BORN created content-rich landing pages that showcased their brand pillars, such as their commitment to sustainability.
